After breakfast departure from Budapest. Our first stop is Kalocsa, where we visit the Folk Art Ethnic House to see how the famous Kalocsa embroidery and egg coloring are made. After a short sightseeing tour we go to Pécs – the cultural capital of Europe in 2010. After a sightseeing tour we visit the famous Csontváry and Zsolnay Porcelain Museum. Overnight and dinner in the hotel.

We spend a relaxing morning in the Thermal Spa of Harkány. During the afternoon we make a short stop at the Siklós Castle, which is one of best-preserved fortresses of Hungary. In Villány after a wine cellar tour we taste 6 kinds of wine and enjoy a mixed cold plate snack. Arrival to Budapest in the late afternoon, where guest can enjoy the Fireworks of 20th August individually.

POST - CONFERENCE TOUR

After breakfast departure from Budapest. We follow the footsteps of the Austrian Empress and Hungarian Queen, Sisi to Gödöllő Palace. Our next stop is Hollókő, which is a Palóc ethnographic village in Hungary, part of the UNESCO World Heritage (sightseeing, handicraft workshop). At arrival local women dressed in regional costumes welcome the visitors with freshly baked specialty, “kenyérlángos” and wine. In the afternoon we arrive to Eger where the northernmost Turkish minaret can be found. After arival we spend some relaxing time in the Turkish Bath. (Don’t forget your swimsuit at home) In the evening we enjoy a traditional dinner accompanied with wine tasting in a local wine cellar. Overnight in a 4* hotel.

After breakfast we start our sightseeing tour with visiting the Castle, famous of the heroic resistance against the Ottoman forces in 1592. In the afternoon we arrive to the Tokaj where the world famous Aszú wine is produced. The walking sightseeing tour is followed by a 1-hour pleasant boat trip on the Tisza River. A delicious dinner with wine selection will be offered in the hotel. Overnight in a 4* castle hotel.

After breakfast we travel to Sárospatak, where the first Calvinist College was founded in 1531. Donations of distinguished personalities of Hungarian history together with priceless prints belong to the present collection of more than 440,000 books and manuscripts. We continue our trip to Debrecen, which is called the „Calvinist Rome”. Hungary's independence was declared in the Great Church on the 14th April 1849 and Lajos Kossuth was voted as governing president. The chair Kossuth used on this occasion is a reverently preserved relic to this day. After a sightseeing tour, there will be some free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Discovering the Hungarian Puszta region, and the Hortobágy National Park. We will participate at a 1,5 hour carriage ride and horse show in the Hortobágy National Park. At arrival guests can taste the locally produced spirit “pálinka” and “pogácsa”. During the program guests have the opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of the Hungarian Puszta. Arrival to Budapest in the afternoon.

Reservations deadline: 30 June 2011
Payment: Preferred mode of payment is wire transfer, although credit card is also accepted.
Confirmation: Registration and reservations will be confirmed when the payment is received.
Cancellation policy: 30 days before the departure the full amount paid will be refunded, except of an administration fee of EUR 15/person. In case of no- show and cancellations within 30 days no refund is given. If the tour should be cancelled because of less than 25 participans, the total registration fee will be refunded without any administration costs.
